What Narella is

Narella is a macOS desktop app. It reads the accounts you connect — mail, calendar, contacts — and builds a graph of the people you already know: who they are, how you know them, when you last spoke, and what you said you would follow up on.

That graph is stored on your Mac. Narella turns it into a short daily brief: the handful of people worth contacting today, and the reason why.

The introductions network

Beyond your own device, Narella has one shared layer: an introductions network. Connecting an account is what puts you in it — until you connect a source, nothing of yours is there. Once you do, other members can see that a path to someone runs through you, and ask you to make the introduction. You decide whether to pass it along. Disconnecting a source stops new information flowing; what has already been shared is removed on request.

Where we are

Narella is an early-access program, currently invite-only and limited to a small first group of users. It is built by a small team.

The requirements are specific and worth stating plainly: macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon, an invitation, and a Google account to sign in with. There is no Windows, Linux, iPhone, Android, or Intel Mac build, and no browser-only version.
